This package takes you on a journey to explore the best of Sikkim, starting with a visit to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim, known for its breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain range. After transfer to Gangtok the rest of the day is at your leisure to relax and explore the local markets and cuisine. Next will be a full-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok, covering Tashi Viewpoint, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Rumtek Monastery, Jhakri Waterfall, Do-rul Chhorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, and Flower Show. These places are a blend of cultural and natural beauty, offering an immersive experience of Sikkim's heritage and scenic beauty. Then you will embark on an excursion to the pristine and breathtaking Tshangu Lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, followed by a visit to New Baba Mandir, a revered temple of the region. On the next day, you will travel to Lachen, a remote village located at an altitude of 9000 ft, passing through picturesque views of Tashi Viewpoint and Seven Sister’s Waterfall. Here, you will experience the mountain lifestyle and indulge in local delicacies. Day after will be a thrilling drive to Chopta Valley and Gurudongmar Lake, located at an altitude of 17200 ft, offering stunning views of snow-capped mountains and an opportunity to experience the high-altitude desert. The Gurudongmar Lake, a sacred lake for the locals, is partially frozen throughout the year. Finally, on the next day, you will transfer to Lachung, located at an altitude of 8000 ft, and take an excursion to the beautiful Yumthang Valley, famous for its colorful Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary bloom and natural hot springs, making it a Himalayan paradise. Daywise Itinerary

On arrival at NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport, (413 Ft / 126 Mts) board your vehicle to Gangtok (5412 Ft /1650Mts, 130 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs.). Check in and overnight at Hotel.

Go for a full day sightseeing covering Tashi Viewpoint, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Rumtek Monastery, Do-rul Chhorten, Research Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Flower Show(Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays)and Enchey Monastery. Overnight at Hotel.

After a delicious breakfast embark on an exciting excursion to Tshangu Lake and New Baba Mandir. The Tshangu Lake, situated at an altitude of 12400Ft/3780Mts and 43Kms away, is a mesmerizing sight to behold with its crystal-clear waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The New Baba Mandir, located at an altitude of 13100Ft/3994Mts and 16Kms away from Tshangu Lake, is a famous shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a soldier of the Indian Army who died in 1968. The journey to both places is equally exhilarating, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After spending some time at the lake and the shrine, return to the hotel in the evening for a comfortable stay.

  • After breakfast pick-up from hotel and proceed to Lachen (130 Kms / 06 hrs) at an altitude of 9000 ft. On the way take a break for some beautiful spots which are worth seeing and visiting like Tashi view point and Seven sister’s water fall (subjected to vehicle taking the normal route and there is no diversion). You are likely to reach Lachen at late afternoon / in the evening. On arrival at Lachen check into your hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachen.
  • Documents required: 02 Passport Size Photo along with Photocopy of Photo ID Proof (Passport or Driving License or Voter ID – Pan Card & Aadhar Card is not accepted). For Child below 18 years School Id / Collage Id is must. Original to be brought with self.
  • The day starts early at 5 am with Packed Breakfast and get ready for a lovely drive to to Chopta Valley and Gurudonmgar Lake (17200 ft / 70 kms / 4-5 hrs). This is one journey one cannot forget. The day starts early at 5 am. It is almost dark at this point of time. As your journey go upward , the morning sun rays creates spectacular view of the snow peaks, which looks like mountains made of Gold. From Lachen first one travels to Thangu (13000 Ft / 3963 Mts, 30 Kms / 02 to 2.5 Hrs from Lachen), which is a steep ascent. The only halt is at Thangu, for stretching & acclimatization. Here you have family kitchen which can serve you tea, bread butter and maggi on Direct payment. You get to sit around the earthen furnace and experience the mountain lifestyle.
  • A further drive reaches to the virgin and uninhabited land of Chopta Valley (13500 Ft / 4116 Mts, 4 Kms / 30 to 45 min from Thangu). Many tourists, who are not comfortable with the altitude, limit their tour till Chopta valley, which is with close proximity to Tibet. The valley is rich with Alpine vegetation.
  • From here till Gurudongmar, is mostly flat land with mountains and army bunkers on all sides. This is a high altitude desert, with hardly any vegetation and is stony and dusty. Your vehicle makes its own way ahead and this is the reason one can get lost very easily. As it is a plateau, it is very cold & windy throughout the year. The advice is that one should not exert much as gasping breath is difficult at this altitude. In winters, Gurudongmar Lake is frozen except one corner which is considered to be very sacred. Army Jawans apart from guarding the border are always ready to help those who are in need.
  • Later, transfer to Lachung (8000 ft / 2439 mts, 60 kms/ 3-4 hrs). Overnight stay at hotel in Lachung.

Early morning proceed on a half day excursion to Yumthang Valley (11800 Ft / 3598 Mts / 25 Kms / 1 ½ hours one way).Visit to Yumthang Valley is a day excursion from Lachung, which is an attraction for tourist visiting this region. The colorful Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary bloom between April to June. The soaring snow-capped peaks and herds of wandering yaks make this a Himalayan paradise. The valley is also known for its Hot spring. Although the water is quite dirty, many locals from the area visit to get themselves soaked & cured as believed. Afternoon transfer to Gangtok (5412 Ft / 1650 Mts, 124 Kms / 05 ½ to 06 ½ Hrs.).Overnight at Hotel

After breakfast proceed to NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport (413 Ft / 126 Mts, 130 Km / 04 to 05 Hrs.) for your onward connection.

Useful Points Before Booking

  • If the sightseeing points like Research Institute of Tibetology & Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom are falling on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays then we will include Lasa falls as an alternative sightseeing.
  • In case of Land slide or any reason Tshangu Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing.
  • NRI, OCI, PIO Card holder & Foreign National are not allowed to visit Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass. They are allowed to visit till Tshangu Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 02 & above is number to visit Tshangu Lake.
  • In case of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided
